# Terms of Service
These terms apply to the Rafmennt Öryggi app (“Rafmennt Safety” in the app stores), provided by Rafmennt ehf. (kt. 590104-2050), Stórhöfða 27, 110 Reykjavík, Iceland. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
## The Service
The app is a free tool for making short risk assessments. You can create risk assessments, send them to your contacts and view lists of the most common dangers in the workplace.
## Your Account
To use the app you may need to provide your name, kennitala and email. You must give correct information and keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
## Acceptable Use
Use the app only for lawful purposes and as intended. You may not:
- try to disrupt the app or gain unauthorised access to it or the systems behind it;
- copy, modify or reverse engineer the app, except as the law allows;
- send content that is unlawful, misleading or infringes the rights of others.
## Your Content
You own the risk assessments you create. You allow Rafmennt to store and process them, and to send them to the recipients you choose, only to provide the service. You are responsible for their content and for who you send them to.
## Safety Information
**The app is an aid, not a replacement for a proper safety assessment.** The app and its lists of common dangers do not replace your own assessment of the conditions at the workplace, safety training, or the duties of employers and employees under Icelandic law, such as the Act on Working Environment, Health and Safety in Workplaces No. 46/1980. Always follow the safety rules that apply where you work.
## Availability and Changes to the App
The app is provided free of charge and “as is”. We may change, suspend or discontinue the app, or any part of it, at any time. We aim to keep it working but cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.
## Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Rafmennt is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app, including decisions made on the basis of risk assessments created in the app.
## Privacy
Our [Privacy Policy](https://apps.rafmennt.is/rafmennt-oryggi/privacy-policy) explains how we collect and use personal information when you use the app.
## Third-Party Services
The app is downloaded from the App Store or Google Play and relies on third-party services such as Google Play Services, Expo and Sentry. Their own terms apply to their services.
## Ending Your Use
You may stop using the app at any time and delete it from your device. To ask for your account and data to be deleted, contact us. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.
## Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
## Governing Law
These terms are governed by Icelandic law. Any dispute shall be brought before the District Court of Reykjavík (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur).
